Join IMAC for a webinar on Tuesday 29 September at 12pm looking at recent infectious disease outbreaks and emerging global infections.

This year has seen the emergence of a number of zoonotic infectious diseases, including avian influenza, the hantavirus Andes virus, and Bundibugyo – an Ebola virus.

This webinar will provide background and an update about these infectious diseases. We will also look at diphtheria – an old infection, which is increasing in certain parts of world, including Australia.

While these diseases are not directly connected to a vaccinator’s daily work, it is important to be aware of them. There will be time for Q+A for those attending the live session.

The webinar will run for around 30 minutes, and will be recorded and available on IMAC’s website the following day.

Note: This topic was presented at IMAC’s recent National Immunisation Workshop, and we are sharing again via a webinar due to high interest.
