IMAC measles vaccination (MMR) webinar

IMAC has hosted an informative webinar for health professionals which explores the clinical considerations for the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, with a primary focus on measles.

The webinar covers essential information from the Immunisation Handbook and examines the impact and global burden of measles disease. It also covers:

- safe screening procedures

- key precautions

- contraindications associated with the vaccine

- co-administration of MMR with other immunisations

- the appropriate age for administration (including dose zero)

- potential responses to the vaccine.

It is presented by IMAC medical advisor Dr Joan Ingram and IMAC immunisation education facilitator Abbey Palmer.
