It is important that all providers check expiry dates for vaccines and remove expired stock from circulation to prevent errors occurring.

Menactra vaccine should now have been fully replaced by MenQuadfi as Menactra stock will now be expired.

Please ensure your stock is checked for any remaining expired vials and that these are returned to Propharma following usual processes.

Important note: the MenQuadfi vaccine is not for use for consumers aged under 12 months and these tamariki should be receiving either meningococcal C vaccine (Neisvac-C), funded for certain high-risk infants, or the unfunded meningococcal ACWY vaccine (Nimenrix). Please refer to the Immunisation Handbook section 13.4.4.
