Therapeutic options for infant RSV in New Zealand - new survey
Awareness and perceptions of therapeutic options for infant RSV in New Zealand is the focus of new research.
There have been recent international advances with RSV vaccines and medications, however there is currently no funded vaccine and only limited preventative medication to protect infants against the disease in Aotearoa.
Researchers at the Auckland University of Technology and University of Otago aim to understand healthcare professionals' knowledge and perspectives about RSV disease in infants, therapeutic options (infant monoclonal antibody, antenatal RSV vaccine), and what information they need about to support implementation of both or either of these in a future roll-out here.
Who can participate in the survey: Healthcare professionals who are involved in informing and/or administering vaccines and who are proficient in English.
Duration of the survey: Around 10 minutes to complete. Participants can enter the draw for one of 10 $50 vouchers.
