Immunisation Handbook v1 2025 now available

Version 1 2025 of the Immunisation Handbook is now available.
The latest version is published on the Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora website (including a PDF version) here.
Updates for this version include:
- COVID-19 chapter updated for JN.1 vaccine
- Pertussis chapter - rewording of maternal vaccination ‘missed receiving’ rather than ‘did not receive,’ as vaccination in pregnancy is the best option
- RSV chapter - palivizumab to be funded for high-risk infants during the 2025 RSV season
- DTaP-IPV-HepB/Hib - can be counted as a dose if given after 4 weeks of age only for those vaccinated overseas. Continue with appropriate NZ Schedule and offer another dose at age 15 months, out of caution
