IMAC has hosted a webinar on recent infectious disease outbreaks and emerging global infections.

This year has seen the emergence of a number of zoonotic infectious diseases, including avian influenza, the hantavirus Andes virus, and Bundibugyo – an Ebola virus.

This webinar provides background and an update about these infectious diseases. We also look at diphtheria – an old infection, which is increasing in certain parts of world, including Australia.

While these diseases are not directly connected to a vaccinator’s daily work, it is important to be aware of them.
