This 2-hour course is designed for authorised VHW Stage 1 vaccinators to update their knowledge. It is a requirement to complete this update course within two years from the date on your authorisation letter.

The course does not repeat all the knowledge from your previous learning; rather, it is a refreshed overview of information.

Registration requirements

You must:  

• already be working in the health sector and

• hold a letter of authorisation as a Vaccinating Health Worker: Stage 1.

• Current immunisation issues

• Vaccine review

• Immunisation communication

• Vaccine administration  

Assessment

The assessment is a set of 10 multiple choice questions with 20 minutes to complete.
