You are eligible to do this course if you have been sent a reminder email by Health New Zealand.

This course is designed for authorised VHW Stage 2 vaccinators to update their knowledge. Successfully completing this online course and assessment is a requirement for renewing your authorisation. The course does not cover all the material from your previous training; instead, it provides a refreshed overview of key information.

Authorisation as a VHW Stage 2 needs to be renewed every 2 years to work as a vaccinator in Aotearoa. This must occur before your authorisation expires.

• You hold a letter of authorisation as a Vaccinating Health Worker Stage 2

• Current CPR certification

Next Steps

On successful completion, to renew your authorisation, you need to upload your certificate to the Health New Zealand Workforce Request Portal along with your updated CPR certificate.

‍The course provides 2 hours of continuing professional development. On completion, you can print out a certificate as evidence of learning. You’ll also be invited to complete a quick online feedback survey about the course.
