This 2-hour course is designed for authorised Vaccinating Health Workers: Stage 1, to update their knowledge. It is a requirement that all vaccinators complete an update every two years (like all authorised vaccinators in Aotearoa New Zealand).  

The course does not repeat all the knowledge from your previous learning; rather, it is a refreshed overview of information.

Please note: You need to complete this updated course within two years from the date on your authorisation letter.

Registration requirements

You must:  

• already be working in the health sector and

• hold a letter of authorisation as a Vaccinating Health Worker: Stage 1.

• Current immunisation issues
• Vaccine review
• Immunisation communication
• Vaccine administration  

Assessment

The assessment is a set of 10 multiple choice questions with 20 minutes to complete.

On successful completion you need to upload your certificate to the online portal along with your updated CPR course.
