Overview

This 2-hour course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed for health professionals to provide high quality, safe and effective delivery of influenza vaccines to their peers during the influenza season.

On completion of the course and sign up to the Te Whatu Ora standing order you can vaccinate staff, medical, nursing and allied health students and selected contractors against influenza as part of the occupational health programme. You will need to work with the occupational health departments regarding local processes such as access to the vaccine.

Registration requirements

You must:

  • be nominated to complete the course and have been given a coupon code to access
  • hold a current annual practicing certificate
  • have successfully completed the medication certification process
  • have successfully completed the Patient Safety Training.

Assessment

The assessment is in two parts, each a set of five multiple choice questions with 10 minutes per set to complete.
