Overview

This 2-hour course provides an overview of the New Zealand human papillomavirus (HPV) programme and the global context for vaccinators and those who may be providing support to prevent this disease.

Recommended pre-reading:

Registration requirements

You must:

  • be a vaccinator or someone providing support to prevent HPV.

Eligible roles include nurses, midwives, pharmacy technicians and assistants.  

Course modules

  • HPV viruses and infections
  • HPV cancers
  • HPV prevention – immunisation
  • HPV communication

Assessment

The assessment is a set of 15 multiple choice questions with 30 minutes to complete.

On completion, you can print out a certificate as evidence of learning.  

The course provides 2 hours of continuing professional development.
